Take your Steaks’ Flavour to the Next Level with these Five Sauces

Most steak enthusiasts will agree that a mouth-watering sauce can elevate any beef cut. Whether it is a light herb butter sauce or a creamy sauce with lots of mushrooms, it will give extra flavour to the beef. You can enjoy the best sauce when you eat steaks at a great restaurant like Rib n Reef. But, if you are looking to cook your own steaks at home, you will want to dress them with something tasty. Here are great sauces you can prepare for your steaks:

Red Wine and Shallot Sauce

Red wine is known for its acidity that pairs well with the flavour of steaks. It helps you taste more of your meat’s flavour. Making a sauce using red wine can be done in minutes with or without mushrooms to elevate steak night into a classic bistro experience minus the hefty price tags.

Garlic Sauce

You have probably noticed that most steak sauces have plenty of garlic in them. This is because garlic and steak live in perfect harmony. In fact, some people even cook their beef in garlic butter or mince up some garlic to throw in the past when searing the meat. Garlic has an intense flavour that clings to the meat and elevates its taste.

Peppercorn Sauce

Peppercorns and beef have bold flavours that tend to blend perfectly well. Rather than overpowering the other, they work together to produce a strong taste. A peppercorn sauce is ideal for filet mignon, although it can also work for various kinds of steaks. 

Chimichurri Sauce

This sauce is a bit tangier than salsa verde and incorporates South American flavours. You can come up with a creamy version of this sauce by processing all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth and creamy. A spoonful of this should already give your meat a tangy kick and an extraordinary taste.

Herb Butter Sauce

Herbs tend to pair perfectly well with steaks as they bring in additional flavours without dominating the flavour of the meat. Just add herbs to creamy, melted butter and you can have a tasty sauce that pairs well with steaks which might need a bit of flavour boost such as filet mignon.

The most flavourful steak sauce you can make in your home should be done using a handful of simple ingredients. Also, it should take just fifteen minutes or less. The best steak sauce tastes so much better than bottled sauce you can buy in stores.
